KALAMANDALAM OFF-CAMPUS

K. C. Joseph formerly minister for cultural affairs formally inaugurated an off – campus of Kerala Kalamandalam Deemed University in the presence of Sri. P. N. Suresh, Vice–Chancellor of Kalamandalam in the valedictory function of Kathakali Mela 2014. Not less than one hundred students are undergoing training in Kathakali Vesham, Kathakali Chenda and Mohiniyattom at present. Ayroor Kalamandalam centre is adjudged as the first off-campus of the Kerala Kalamandalam Deemed University.

Kalamandalam Sarath Babu (Chenda), Kalamandalam Lonisha Ullas (Dance) are working as Gurus in the sub-centre. Applications are invited from the young Kathakali aspirants between the age group of 12-20 irrespective of gender for the admission to the said cases and the tuition fee is fixed as Rs. 750/- per…… Notification in this regard will be published in the leading newspapers in the first week of April and the classes commence at the end of the month. Students who have successfully completed their course will be given. 'Art Appreciation certificate' issued by Kerala Kalamandalam Deemed University.
