NATYABHARATHI KATHAKALI CENTRE

Natyabharathi Kathalali centre is a unique institution for classical arts in central Travancore which imparts intensive training to the pupils of tender age group on various arts disciplines particularly in Kathakali Vesham, Kathakali music, Kathakali Chenda, Kathakali Chutti and Dance. It was established in the year 1995 and started functioning under the tutelage of Pathanamthitta District Kathakali Club. Not less than 120 students are studying in the centre. Students who have completed their foundation course in this centre will be enrolled to Kalamandalam Centre for higher studies. Kalamandalam Surendran (Kathakali Music), Kalamandalam Sarath Babu (Chenda), Kalamandalam Lonisha Ullas (Dance) are working in the of Kalari teachers. S/S M. A. Kabeer and Prince T Mathew the steering committee members have been appointed as Director and Joint director respectively . M. R. Venu, Club joint secretary has been appointed as Principal of the Centre.
